13-14 Report .. The long-time Duck turned 34 in June and may be finally starting to show some of his age, at least offensively ..  a two assist effort in the second game of the season represented all of his production for October (2 points in 14 games) .. ended up finishing fifth among team defencemen in points (70-4-13-17) representing his lowest goal output since 2008-09 .. remained one of Boudreau’s most trusted options, deployed 23:05 a night .. a factor on both special team’s units, playing 3:11 shorthanded and 1:40 on the power play .. shot totals (100 in 70 games) have declined in recent years as the focus of his game becomes increasingly defensive .. Anaheim’s overall success resulted in another outstanding plus/minus total (+26), tying him for 5th among NHL defenseman .. remains responsible for a lot of the team’s heavy lifting in their own end with the emergence of more offensive options like Fowler, Lindholm, and Vatanen .. once again led the team in blocked shots (171), eleventh most in the league .. rarely in the wrong spot, often making the safe play in his own end .. a UFA at the end of 2014-15, he’ll be playing with significant motivation .. last season is a good barometer moving forward .. possesses the potential to surpass 20 points in a healthy year but expectations should remain tempered at this stage of his career.

12-13 Report: Remarkable career season  resulting in a fourth place finish in Norris trophy voting .. surpassing his 82 game totals in a shortened season (48-6-18-24) .. solid playoff versus the Red Wings including an inspired Game 7 effort (1-1-2) contributing to both Ducks goals .. logged the most average ice time on the team by almost three minutes as a fixture on the penalty kill 23:27(18:06 ES, 3:11 SH, 2:09 PP) .....
