I don’t see it for the Habs. Beauvillier may have good skillset but Habs have plenty of smallish forwards with skill in their system already – think Charles Hudon ,Christian Thomas, Sven Andrighetto, Martin Reway. Arturri Lehkonen etc. There is a glut of these players already in the system so no way Habs take another small forward like Beauvillier or Bracco. They will hope one of the Dmen fall to them or they take a bigger guy with size and scoring potential. Or maybe they trade up or down in the draft depending on their mindset. They are only 1 or 2 big power forwards away from being a serious contender.

Sprong is taken ahead of the Habs pick in this mock, so that’s unlikely.

Otherwise I like your draft and your explanations, it all makes sense.

PS There at 16th you forgot to mention Eberle.
PS2: It’s Ouellet, not Oullette

Look for Charlottetown’s Daniel Sprong, a strong and skilled winger to be picked by the habs.

I answered that question in-depth in an interview I did with SBN College Hockey: http://www.sbncollegehockey.com/2015/6/10/8757389/2015-nhl-draft-interview-scott-wheeler

What is it about McDavid that makes him that much better then Eichel. I still haven’t even seen McDavid shoot the puck.

Here’s a more detailed piece on Beauvillier/why he’s a good option late in the first round for you: http://www.mckeenshockey.com/prospects-blog/beauvillier-timashov-proving-size-issue-draft/

As I pointed out on Twitter, the Beauvillier comment was a joke, and completely tongue-in-cheek. And again, as I have written about in several detailed pieces for McKeen’s, Beauvillier would be a strong pick at 26th overall. He not only makes sense because they interviewed him at the combine, but Montreal’s only pressing need, a LD, will all be gone by 26th (as seen in the mock draft). On top of this, Noah Juulsen, the next BPA on D, is a righty.

They are going D-man, one from Sweden.
