Top-25 Prospects

AUGUST 2013 REPORT

The Top-25 Prospects ranking is personally managed and updated by Justin Goldman, the Director of Goalie Scouting for McKeen's Hockey. He defines a prospect as any goaltender that has started 25 NHL regular-season games or less. The goalies included have already been drafted, but are under the age of 28.

Once a prospect has started 26 NHL games, he leaves this ranking and joins The Graduates report.

The Top-25 Prospects ranking is not based solely on statistics. It is solely a personal projection of top-flight pro prospects that Goldman feels has the highest odds of evolving into legitimate long-term starting NHL goalies. A number of different non-statistical elements are taken into consideration each month, all of which are applied on a case-by-case basis for each goalie’s unique development path.
